What is the difference between biodegradable bags and fully degradable bags?


    Degradable packaging bag, the implication is degradable, but degradable packaging is divided into “degradable” and “fully degradable” two kinds.

    The biodegradable plastic bag is made of plant straw and other friendly to human body and the environment, different from the three synthetic plastics, after the waste, under the action of biological environment, can be decomposed by itself, no matter to people or the environment are harmless, belongs to the green packaging.     Degradable plastic bags can be divided into two kinds from the difference of raw materials and decomposition factors:

        • A plastic bag is mainly made of polyethylene plastic, mixed with starch and other biological degradable agents, also known as biodegradable plastic bag. This kind of plastic bag decomposes mainly by the action of microorganisms.

        • The other kind is mainly made of polyethylene plastic, mixed with mineral powder such as light desorption agent and calcium carbonate, which is also called light desorption plastic bag. This kind of plastic bag breaks down under the action of the sun.

    Completely degradable bag means that all plastic bags are degraded into water and carbon dioxide. The main source of this fully degradable material is processed from corn, cassava and other materials into lactic acid, also known as PLA. Poly Lactic Acid (PLA) is a new kind of biological substrate and renewable biodegradable material. Starch raw material is saccharified to get glucose, and then the glucose and certain strains are fermented to produce high purity lactic acid, and then the PLA with certain molecular weight is synthesized by chemical synthesis method. It has good biodegradability. After use, it can be completely degraded by microorganisms in nature under specific conditions, and eventually generate carbon dioxide and water. It does not pollute the environment, which is very beneficial to protecting the environment and is an environment-friendly material for workers.
